SciViD Collection: Cosmology & Astrophysics
SciViD
SciViD: Cosmology & Astrophysics is a collection of video preprints on the study of the Universe. It invites researchers, educators, engineers and students to share recent work in cosmology, astronomy, astrophysics and gravitational theory as video papers, interactive models and visual explanations. Items in this collection are preprints: they are checked against a posting checklist (verified references, clear status labels and disclosed AI use), but they are not peer reviewed.
The collection covers a wide range of topics, including the Big Bang, cosmic inflation, black holes, dark matter and dark energy, neutrino physics, the cosmic microwave background, gravitational waves, exoplanets, and the foundations of general and special relativity. Contributions may present theoretical frameworks, numerical models or observational data, with clear labels that distinguish established results from preliminary ones.
For authors, posting is free. Each item receives a SciViD identifier and a version number and is labeled “Preliminary · Not peer reviewed”; later versions are added with a dated note of changes. Authors who need a DOI can deposit the final version in an open repository such as Zenodo, using the same title and author list and linking to the SciViD page; the SciViD page then shows both identifiers. For authors under 18, DOIs are added only through Emerging Scholars. SciViD Studio, a separate paid service, can turn a manuscript or a published paper into a narrated video and an interactive virtual lab; the author approves the script and the final version, and any AI-generated voice or footage is disclosed.
For readers and viewers, the collection offers a visual way into complex topics in astrophysics and cosmology. Because items are not peer reviewed, please treat them as preliminary work and check the cited sources before relying on their results.
